Description: 28,140 acres of forested wilderness. The western part of the wilderness contains a subalpine climate, but the warmer, drier, eastern section features grasslands, white oaks, and ponderosa pines. Fishing in the three main creeks, carved by glacial melt. The Badger Creek National Recreation Trail (about 12 miles) crosses the wilderness, and a network of trails accesses the rest of the wilderness, including the summit of Lookout Mountain (6525 feet).

Location: The easiest access is from Robin Hood campground. From Hood River, go 28 miles south on OR 35. Other access points are from Badger Lake campground, Bonney Crossing campground, Camp Windy campground, Fifteenmile campground (trailhead to Lookout Mountain), Little Badger campground, and Valley View cabin.
